The Phantom Bridge - Escape Room

Princess Cruises has revealed that an escape room at sea will feature on its two newest ships, the 3,660-guest Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess.

Combining digital and physical challenges, the ‘Phantom Bridge’ involves players captaining and steering a simulated ship through a range of historical and future time periods. Accompanying lighting, sound and digital features create a realistic interactive experience as players ultimately try to find the room’s exit key.

To progress through the story, guests must work as a team to uncover clues and solve puzzles with the ‘ship’ transforming and responding to their actions.

Princess Cruises’ Majestic Princess ‘lands’ on world’s first floating runway in Sydney Harbour

Majestic Princess sailed into Sydney on Saturday morning on the world’s first floating “runway”. The spectacular celebration was held to mark the maiden arrival of the ship, the largest Princess Cruises’ vessel ever to visit Australia.

The 3,560-guest Majestic Princess was filmed arriving into Sydney via the 1,550 metre-long illuminated floating runway, which was created by 62 buoys with red and white flares that guided her path into Sydney Harbour.

The newest ship in Princess Cruises’ fleet, Majestic Princess will be based in Sydney for the next six months, and will join three other Princess Cruises’ ships - Sun Princess, Sea Princess and Golden Princess – in Australia. The vessels will sail from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle, and Adelaide.

Holland America Line is introducing Rolling Stone Rock Room, a new classic rock club developed in partnership with Rolling Stone, the world’s leading authority in music. Rolling Stone Rock Room lets cruisers step into a unique experience as a live band chronicles rock history as they kick out iconic hits by favorite rock stars.

Rolling Stone Rock Room will debut as part of the innovative Music Walk area on Holland America Line’s Nieuw Statendam when it joins the fleet in December 2018 and Koningsdam that same month.

Princess Cruises has completed an extensive two-week refit of its 2,670-guest Sapphire Princess cruise ship, which will sail out of Southampton this year and in 2019. The refurbishment was carried out in Singapore, with the vessel now including enhanced onboard spaces and product innovations.

Sapphire Princess has recently departed Singapore for the UK and will sail roundtrip out of Southampton from May to October in 2018 followed by a slightly longer season from April to October in 2019. A variety of voyages are on offer, largely to the Norwegian Fjords & Baltics, as well as a 12-day Canary islands voyage in October 2018.

Seabourn enjoys a multi-year partnership with UNESCO to support their efforts to protect World Heritage at sites around the world.

Carnival Cruise - Carnival Splendor repositioned to Sydney 2019

Carnival Cruise Line has announced that the 3,006-passenger Carnival Splendor will reposition to Sydney in 2019, becoming the newest and largest ship based year-round in Australia.

More than 800,000 Australians have cruised with Carnival since the company launched its Australia program five years ago with year-round sailings of Carnival Spirit. Carnival Legend also operates seasonal departures from Sydney. The arrival of Carnival Splendor to Sydney represents a 66% capacity increase for Carnival Cruise Line in Australia.

Holland America Line - "Nieuw Statendam" in 2019

Following an inaugural season island-hopping throughout the Caribbean, Holland America Line’s Nieuw Statendam will cross the Atlantic Ocean in late April 2019 and spend the summer and fall exploring northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

The new Pinnacle Class ship will homeport in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, for the summer.
